Antique Revival Necklace: Ruby, Enamel & Diamond Accents with Winding Key Drop

This striking one-of-a-kind necklace began its life as a richly ornate 12.5" antique watch chain; heavy, beautiful, and brimming with detail. Now thoughtfully reimagined into a 22 inch statement necklace, it carries every bit of its historic soul with a fresh, wearable twist.

Crafted in solid 18k gold, the two chains, meticulously composed of smooth curb links and twisted rope links, were originally joined by a floral-themed end cap set with rubies. I carefully disconnected one chain from the end cap, and then added a large 18k gold jump ring to the end. The other chain still is securely attached to the end cap, with the original screw-on dog clip clasp. 

Adorning both chains are 2 green enameled slider beads, lightly worn with time yet still bursting with character. Both sliders are set with tiny diamonds in star-shaped settings, adding celestial sparkle to the rich contrast of enamel, dark red rubies, and warm antique gold. These beads slide freely, letting you adjust the look and balance of the necklace however you wish.

At the bottom hangs a chunky, bold antique winding key, a true conversation starter. Adorned with ruby details and floral motifs, it brings drama, weight, and whimsy to the piece, anchoring the design in both symbolism and style.
